Silent Farewell

One by one, the five stars fell,
A breath, a beat—then all was still.
No warning came, no time to stay,
Just silence where they once lay.

A call, a rush, then all was done,
A life departed with the rising sun.
No hands to hold, no last embrace,
Only memories time won’t erase.

Four were taken in a fleeting night,
No chance to fight, no time for flight.
One held on, yet still gave way,
Even the strong can't make time stay.

Eight long days, then earth was turned,
Another laid, another mourned.
The weight of loss, the restless tide,
So much grief, so little time.

And now with one, the final sight,
One last glance, one fading light.
Yet love remains—it won’t run dry,
Though stars may fall, they fill the sky.

Seasons change, but God ordains,
His purpose holds through loss and pain.
