Tell The World of His Love

It's the month of October, and of course, I am reminded of the Parish Youth Days that I used to attend. I would still like to share a song that I truly love listening to and singing. It's the theme song from the 1995 World Youth Day, which I first learned about from WYD '95 Liturgy and Guide Book.

Tell The World Of His Love

[Verse 1]
For God so loved the world
He gave us His only Son
Jesus Christ our Savior
His most precious one
He has sent us His message of love
And sends those who hear
To bring the message to everyone
In a voice loud and clear

[Chorus]
Let us tell the world of His love
The greatest love the world has known
Search the world for those who have walked
Astray and lead them home
Fill the world's darkest corners
With His light from up above
Walk every step, every mile, every road
And tell the world, tell the world of His love

[Post-Chorus]
(Tell the world of His love)
(Tell the world of His love)

[Verse 2]
Our Lord, our Savior, our King
Emmanuel, Prince of Peace
Begotten of the Father's love
Born to set us free
Let heaven and earth sing His praises
His righteousness proclaim
Let every heart rejoice in His love
And magnify His name

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

[Outro]
(Tell the world of His love)
Tell the world of His love

Isn't it a wonderful song? It also reminds me of some of my other favorite songs that I love listening to. I'll be sharing them in another blog post that you may want to check out.

Life: A Precious Gift

Life is a precious gift from God. It is beautiful and fragile, so people must give it importance. Life proves that the world goes on, and it is how we live our lives that gives us true meaning and appreciation for what is truly important.

Many people will come and go in our lives, leaving footprints on our souls and cherished memories that fill our hearts with warmth. With each passing day, we receive some of life’s greatest lessons from the random people we meet. They are the ones we can never forget—those who ultimately change our lives for the better. These wonderful individuals are placed in our lives by God, and as we recognize His sovereignty in these connections, we can see significant progress. Therefore, we must be thankful and grateful.

But what is life for if it is not nourished by individuals? If one does not recognize that it is indeed a precious gift from God, what value does it hold? In this life, each of us can fulfill meaningful purposes—everything God has planned for us—when we obey His will.

One may argue that Jeremiah 29:11 isn’t directly addressed to us. However, I believe the same principle applies: the assurance that God has plans for our welfare and a future filled with hope. As the verse says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." This welfare does not promise worldly riches; instead, it encompasses spiritual well-being and the hope of eternal life. Even in the face of trials, we are reminded that our true kingdom lies beyond this life.

Let us appreciate this gift by loving ourselves and all the people around us, for they contribute so much to making our lives colorful and meaningful. I’m not saying we should love ourselves or others more than we love God; we must love God above all. By trusting Him and recognizing His control over all things, we not only enrich our own lives but also glorify God. (See Scriptures such as Proverbs 16:4, Isaiah 45:5-7, Romans 8:28, Ephesians 1:11, 2 Corinthians 10:13, Isaiah 14:24, Hebrews 2:8, etc.) In doing so, life will surely be much better than we can ever imagine.

As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

May God watch over us and guide us as we embark on our own wonderful journeys through life. As we navigate these paths, let us remember that we are never alone, for "the Lord, our God, will be with us wherever we go!" (Joshua 1:9)

May He grant us the strength to face the various trials that come our way until the time He calls us home to His Kingdom called Heaven. Life is not promised to be easy, my friend, but it will surely be worth it!

Be blessed always in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord! God loves us so much! (John 3:16) Amen.
